“How do I know that my Ford ESP plan is active?”

When a customer purchases a Ford ESP plan online at www.ZeiglerFordESP.com, they often expect to receive documentation by mail; however, since Ford does NOT mail out plan provisions (these are provided under the document library link on the homepage of our website) they do want to know how to confirm that this coverage has actually been entered into the Ford system.  There are several ways to confirm coverage:  a) ask your local Ford dealer to look up your ESP plan the next time you visit the service drive; or b) call Ford ESP HQ direct at (800) 521-4144 for instant confirmation.  I personally would like to see Ford mail out a “Welcome to Ford ESP” letter to every new customer – maybe in the future!  mc

Chrysler Service Contracts Adds “Extension” Plans

Chrysler Service Contracts now offers one year extension plans for those customer wanting to extend their current service contracts without having to purchase another major term plan. The vehicle must be within 1 year of its current contract expiration.

Ford ESP Cancellation Process

If you have a Ford ESP plan and have traded your vehicle in or simply want to cancel the contract, a request in writing must be sent via email, fax or  mail to our office.  Please include the VIN number and any supporting documentation such as the “trade-in odometer” statement as this is used to calculate the refund amount.  Once received, we will process the refund and after verifying that a credit will be issued, will mail out a refund check within 1-2 business weeks.  You may inquire about the potential refund amount by calling Ford ESP HQ directly at (800) 512-4144.  mc.

Chrysler Maximum Care Service Contract

If you truly want a “bumper-to-bumper” warranty, referred to as exclusionary coverage, you will want to consider the Chrysler Service Contract called Maximum Care.  This plan will cover everything mechanical and electrical, or well over 5007+ components.  The items not covered, the exclusions, are the maintenance items such brakes, rotors, wiper blades, tires, oil changes, etc.  Also not covered are glass, plastics, moldings, body panels and weatherstripping.  So when considering which plan is correct for you, if the difference in price is not too overwhelming for your budget, opt for the Chrysler Maximum Care service contract.  Consider this:  in the event of a repair, just one item not covered under a lesser plan may have paid for the difference in price for the best plan available from Chrysler – Maximum Care.

Chrysler Service Contracts Inspection Process

When you have a vehicle that is outside of its original factory warranty (3/36), and you would like to purchase extended warranty coverage, there may be a used vehicle inspection required.  If so, you may download the Chrysler Used Vehicle Inspection Checklist from the ‘Document Library’ on the homepage of our website at www.chryslerfactoryplans.com , take this into any Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealer service department, and they will complete the form .  This ususally costs approximately 1 hour labor rate or $80 -$120 and takes about 1 hour.  You should then fax the inspection form along with the receipt to our attention at (630) 566-4197 for review and approval.  If anything has been identified as needing attention or repair, this must be completed and the repair receipts faxed back to authenticate.  The inspection process may seem like a hassle but it protects the customer from having claims denied due to pre-existing conditions and  protects Chrysler from ‘reconditioning’ vehicles that normally would not qualify for service contract coverage.  mc
